I was just looking through my old newsposts and used to get a lot more comments on them. I also cared more then and spent more time here I suppose.

I don't really. I was just going through my stuff and noticed I used to get a lot more comments. Comments give me something to do and people to talk to which is entertaining.
Oh and it annoys me when people who pretend to be girls but are really g.i.r.l.s get more comments than me.

don't take it personally, I think it's got a lot to do with the decreased userbase on the site now and not any loss of quality in yourself. ; )

Well I really like a lot of NGers so I spose I kinda shower people with compliments. But you're one of the people I remember thinking was cool starting in my early posting days and continuing on. So it's always cool to be noticed by someone you admired/respected/liked. I kinda worded that like I'm a 12 yr old with a crush. I DIDN'T MEAN IT THAT WAY. lol. ;)

It comes and goes, but being popular on the BBS is a grind of constant exposure. The less you participate constantly, the more people forget about you entirely.

That is so true. When I see noobs disrespecting vets and going "who the fuck are you" I just kind of shake my head. Like "omg are you serious this guy is great and has been here forever and you respect him!".
If someone goes inactive I guess the new people have no clue who they are and only the few older ones who stuck around might remember them.

User base shifts every half year or so, you have to maintain yourself here weekly and post quality to be noticed positively.
